This Japanese diet holds the secret to losing weight.
Hitoshi Watanabe came up with this unique diet plan after many other diets had failed to work for him.
But working together with his pharmaceutist wife Sumiko, they put together a plan that help him lose his unwanted weight, and it could work for you too.
What they created is known as ‘The Morning Banana Diet’ and it is so simple it will surprise you with it’s very few rules.
The diet works by limiting food in the mornings, eating only a banana and drinking room temperature water until lunch, then a healthy two meals during the rest of the day.
This diet works due to several factors. The high starch content in bananas help stimulate the body into weight-loss mode, it is passed through the small intestine and into the large intestine where it begins to ferment.
Here the body breaks it down into short-chain fatty acids, a process vital to weight loss and staving off hunger.
Taken with the banana, the tepid water helps the metabolizing process, and also fills up the stomach to keep for feel fuller for longer.
During the diet, Watanabe advises that you stay away from alcohol and milk, and your last meal of the day no later than 8pm.
The meal plans for lunch and dinner are not specified, but they should be healthy meals including lots of fresh ingredients and vegetables.
