Parents across America are facing jail after choosing not to vaccinate.
Yet another parent, the second in a week has been threatened with jail after refusing to let her daughter be vaccinated in accordance with state law.
Lori Matheson is against the vaccination of her daughter until proper tests have been done to determine if vaccination is the right option for her child. Many children have adverse reactions to vaccines and Lori wants to make sure it doesn’t happen to her child.
WXYZ have reported “Lori Matheson is objecting to a friend of the court order that found her daughter should get vaccinated.
She argues her family is pre-disposed to auto-immune injuries and a “23 and Me” genetic test will show that, and that the test should have been done before the referee made their determination.
The attorney for her daughter’s father says the daughter’s doctor recommended the vaccines and said her church allows them.”
The problems have arisen and ending up being a court matter due to the difference in opinion between her and the child’s father concerning vaccines.
Just days before, the same courts sent to jail a mother who refused to let her son be vaccinated.
Rebecca Bredow was jailed by Judge Karen McDonald highlighting how serious the law finds these matters, and in turn how serious the parents must be to face jail time to stand up for what they believe in.
Matheson says she objects to the vaccine on religious grounds, after she began researching vaccines and found a connection with certain vaccines and aborted fetal cells.
“I started reading literature on vaccinations, [and] When I started reading them that’s when I found out there are some vaccinations that are cultured in aborted fetal cells.”
This case highlights the many problems parents face when deciding upon what is best for their child while trying to stay within the parameters of the law.
