China are making it rain, literally.
China have admitted to using advanced technology to control the weather, particularly that they ‘cleared the skies’ of rain clouds for the opening of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
The amazing spectacle was watched by over a billion people worldwide.
They have set aside $30 million for the project which includes ‘shooting salt-and-mineral-filled bullets into the sky’
The news comes as geoengineering has been hitting the headlines, a practice which involves chemically altering the environment in an effort to control the weather.
Environmentalists are concerned over the long term effects of altering the environment in this way, as they fear it could do untold damage to the planets fragile ecosystems.
China are just one of a current 52 countries who have who are involved in weather altering programs, including the U.S.
Chemtrails are one of the ways to spot when this weather altering business has been occurring, these are being spotted with more and more regularity.
Reuters have reported China’s Ministry of Finance say they are hoping to create more than 60 billion extra cubic meters of rain every year by 2020.
A similar project in the Indian state of Maharashtra created extra water for their drought-stricken citizens last year at the price of $4.5 million.
One of the biggest weather modification companies in the world, Weather Modification Incorporated, say on their website:
“Weather Modification Inc. is on the forefront of scientific technology to maximize water availability worldwide,” and “Application of scientific concepts and extensive scientific experimentation has proven that cloud seeding increases the amount of precipitation.”
Geerts, who has worked on projects such as this has said:
“Whatever we do locally, whether its industrial processes or burning biofuels, that has a global impact. And at the end of the day, some of that may be more significant than the intentional stuff that I’m involved with,”
