Anxiety might not be the hindrance you once thought.
Having an anxiety disorder can be a scary and confusing thing. You often feel overwhelmed by the pressures you see in the world.
But there are positives to having bouts of anxiety. It can make you incredibly insightful and sensitive, traits that seem to have been lost in the modern world.
If you have anxiety you might relate to the following idiosyncrasies.
1. An ability to sense the energy of others.
People who suffer from anxiety can often sense energies, both positive and negative in others. They are drawn towards similar souls and can tell which people to avoid withing a few moments of meeting them.
2. Increased empathy
Empaths are people who are very easily able to empathize with people, and often take on the thoughts and feelings of others as a way of helping them through tough situations. People with anxiety are great listeners and are the person to turn to when you have a problem.
3. A life saving instinct
Being anxious means you can often perceive reality in a different way to others – you see things in minute detail and can predict things that are about to happen more accurately. This means they are handy to have in a disaster, because their quick mind leads to quick reactions.
4. An increased IQ
There have been links made between having a high IQ and suffering from anxiety disorders. The saying ‘ignorance is bliss’ has never been more true, the more brain power you have, sadly the more things you have to worry about.
5. An ability to see through lies
Most people are fooled by liars, and only feel cheated when the truth finally comes out. People with anxiety disorders are so finely tuned into reality that they can see through people’s lies as they are coming out of their mouth.
