The link between alcohol and the dark side.
While some religions and certain people choose to abstain from alcohol for a variety of different reasons, most people in the world enjoy a cold beer of two after a long day at work.
Similarly, most adults are aware of the problems associated with alcohol. Most people know someone who drinks a little ‘too much’ and you’ll be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t have a story of when they over-indulged and woke up feeling like their head had been ran over by a truck.
Throughout history, alcohol has been linked with the devil, and demonic possession. In the Victorian times it was referred to as the ‘demon drink‘ and industry in the world increased and the working day got longer and harder, more and more people turned to heavy drinking to get them through the week, it wrecked lives and tore families apart.
The word alcohol is actually derived from the Arabic “al-kuhl”, which literally translates as “body eating spirit”.
You might have witnesses it yourself, sometimes a person who you know very well can totally morph into a different person right in front of your eyes, all because of alcohol.
Someone who is normally mild mannered can turn in to an absolute horror after just a few drinks, it is as if it wakes something that is usually buried deep inside. No other thing on earth including all of the highly classified drugs makes people behave like they do after consuming alcohol, it is the sole case for most violent crimes in the world.
In ancient alchemy, alcohol is used as the substance which extracts the soul essence of an entity. If there is something buried within something else, alcohol will be able to find it, and extract it.
If you’ve ever had to explain your drunken behavior and found yourself saying it wasn’t something you would ‘normally’ do, it might not have been you acting, but your dark side that is usually kept well hidden.
