Tennessee man lets ‘Jesus take the wheel’; flips car and nearly dies.
People looking to the Lord to help them make their life decisions might want to take into consideration what happened to 33-year-old Chad England.
Believers often say that they let Jesus guide them in the right direction, but in this case he got his markers way out.
After deciding to let Jesus ‘guide’ him whilst he was driving, England’s car lost control and flipped five times; when the police found him he was speaking ‘gibberish’.
Tennessee Highway Patrol officers say that the arrived at the scene to find England who was clearly under the influence of drugs, and when he realized what had happened to him, was reported to try and flee the scene whilst carrying a jar.
Despite the fact that officers were sure the man was under the influence of drugs, he refused to take a drugs test and so this could not be corroborated.
After searching England’s car, police report that they found:
“six grams of marijuana, 0.6 grams of cocaine, a pipe, rolling papers, a 3/4 empty bottle of Crown Royal, a small empty bottle of Crown Royal, and several cans used for ‘huffing.’”
England told officers that Jesus had appeared to him and told him to let Jesus drive on his behalf.
Instead of a peaceful journey to his destination chauffeured by the Lord himself, England ended up with physical injuries and an arrest lost including, but not limited to DUI first offense, felony possession of schedule II for resale, possession of schedule VI, and possession of paraphernalia.
Local news station WVLT reported:
“Two witnesses said they saw England speeding down the highway, when, for no apparent reason, he left the roadway on the right side”
Despite the fact that it probably wasn’t his religious vision, but instead the drugs that Mr. England had taken which made him let go of the wheel of his car, it highlights the lengths that people will go to when they believe that they are experiencing divine intervention.
You only have to take one look at the world to see the crazy things people are prepared to do in the name of religion whilst SOBER, never mind drunk or high.
England says he recalls:
“being called and was traveling to bow before someone.”
He got off lightly after being able to walk away from the accident, others who carry out hallucinations under the influence of ‘religion’ aren’t always so lucky.
