Bill Murray demonstrates why he’s such a popular guy.
Popular internet sensation Bill Murray has once again won his fans over with an act of kindness.
The ‘Ghostbusters’ star displayed his likability when he bought gig tickets for everyone in the queue he was waiting in.
The show was a SteelDrivers concert in Charleston, South Carolina, and the other line members weren’t aware of what he had done before the act of kindness was complete, not giving any of them the chance to protest. Not that you would want to protest if Bill Murray was buying you a gift.
One of the lucky punters was Adam Gloeckler, who spoke to WCSC, he said:
“It is something that everyone who experienced it will never forget. If only everyone in the world was like Bill Murray!”
Murray and the SteelDrivers have got history, he performed alongside them in the film “Get Low.” But members of the band say they didn’t know about Murray’s plans to give the other concert goers such a treat.
The band’s manager Jules Wortman told Entertainment Weekly:
“They had gone to dinner and he’s just a big fan of theirs. They did not know he was going to buy tickets and surprise fans.”
The tickets were around $30 each and Murray purchased one for every fan in the line.
Last year Murray gave away a ticket to the World Series to one of his fans, who was following the star. The ticket turned out to be right next to his and she got to enjoy the game with him.
And just last month, Murray got in on a couple of his fans announcing their pregnancy, after they asked him to appear in their Instagram video announcing the news.
Murray has gained fans throughout the course of his career thanks to his sharp take on the world, interjected with a good dose of dry wit.
